Carrie and friends.

Who doesn't love Carrie Underwood?!

**insert crickets chirping**

That's what I thought.

Last night I went with a couple handfuls of fun friends to a dinner out on the town and the Carrie concert afterward.
It was quite the girls night out.

Susanne, Elizabeth (EJ), me, Morgan, Laura

We all met at The Fold which is a yummy taco bar in Little Rock. Their shrimp tacos and spicy queso do NOT disappoint (side note: I haven't found too many versions of shrimp tacos and/or spicy queso that DO disappoint, but that's really neither here nor there). The vodka tonic did not disappoint either- for those who may be wondering.

This group of girlies all do Plexus with me on different teams and so getting together where we can all talk shop is always super fun for me.

Timie, Melissa, Tamara

Melissa, Susanne, EJ and moi.

(Back row) Timie, EJ, Susanne, Kristy, Morgan and Nicole.
(Front row-ish) Melissa, Laura, Rebekah, and Tamara (with wee baby A in her belly).

I am laughing so hard in this picture because I had literally said "y'all get in this picture" about 2.3 seconds before and then in perfect tandem everyone was positioned and smiling their pearly whites.
Melissa said "that was like an eight count!"
Still giggling.

Take note- on this day, Timie went DIAMOND!! We're so happy for her!
And fun fact: last year on this day KRISTY went Diamond!
Crazy town.

Easton Corbin.

She's so good, y'all! Also .... it was a cool 82 degrees in that arena and I swear I never saw a bead of sweat on that jumbo tron. I'm still impressed by that as well.

Loved our girls night out and the love the girls with whom we went outing!!
Repeat soon. 😘

The House That Built Me.

April 8 2016 we had our last family dinner at my parents house before they moved the next day.
We have had COUNTLESS family dinners in this house ... multiple times a week we all end up here randomly putting meals together with what we have in our fridges as we all say on a group text "let's go to Mom's for dinner tonight."
Many mornings a week we sisters all end up sitting at this house for coffee because we were awake and just like to be together ... especially here.
Random times during the day we'd end up sitting outside in lawn chairs because we just wandered over there to see what Mom was doing. Totally normal.

We love this house and we love the memories it's made for.

I was in third grade when my parents bought this house so almost all of my childhood memories happened right here. It was a little farmhouse style home on a few acres tucked back in a serene part of Little Rock that was just far enough out to feel like you were in the country but totally accessible to "town." The house itself wasn't anything special ... but my mom can make ANY place beautiful and she made this house shine.

This is where we brought Emerson home from the hospital. We really all grew up here. Rachel has designed many events on the kitchen table. Sarah Baker was married in the front yard. I got engaged by the pond. We've hosted tons of grandkids birthday parties and too many of our own. My fav memories are the non-monumental ones: our daily kitchen coffee dates, back deck chats, and weekly potluck dinners. 20905 Country Creek Lane will always have a huge place in my heart and I'm so sad to see it go. Eli and I went back and forth on buying it for weeks, but at the end of the day it just wasn't enough space for our crew. Not gonna lie ... I kick myself on that decision every few days.

This pic makes me especially sad because I feel like it pretty much sums up so many family get togethers once we had kiddos ... Plasma cars up and down the driveway ... Catch being played in the yard and chasing the inevitable toddler run away out of the horse arena next door.

We were all pretty teary eyed that night and took way too many pictures ... but I'm sure I'll be glad I did one day. That's one reason I love to blog... I love to go back and read the stories later- and this is one worth re-reading.

Day of Eli.

This cutie right here was born 34 years ago. And I'm so glad he was.

You can't help but like Eli; he really is SUCH a great guy. He is such a servant leader, he loves people well, he's seriously one of the most dependable people ever- oh, and he's WAY sweeter than me. I love that about him.

Another favorite thing about Eli is that he loves the lake as much as I do. My family grew up on the lake and I really don't ever get tired of it ... And Eli is the same way! This year we bought a lake house ... Errr ... A trailer house. The lake we go to doesn't let you have homes on the lake because its core-owned and so you can only lease the land and put trailers on it. I can't even tell you how excited I am to have a spot to go every weekend and keep everything there and just make lots of memories with my fam. We are giddy over it and counting down to summer!
ANOTHER fun fact about Eli (I know, I know- I keep going and going- (#newlywedproblems) is that he's super handy. The man can fix ANYTHING.
He is single handedly gutting the trailer and putting it all back together ... Call me crazy, but that's super hot! 😍😍
I just love him.

This morning I let the kids go to school a little late so we could wake up and do presents and pancakes with him.
The kids were excited to get to give him their gifts and so was I!

Gym clothes for all the basketball he plays with the boys, a holster he had been eyeing for his gun and a cooler for the lake were all on the list. He loved it all!

Eli loves pancakes so that was definitely the menu for breakfast. The kids were super excited to get to go to school a little late.
Then they got to go a little bit later than we had even planned when I managed to slam my thumb in my SUV door while trying to hunt down a backpack. Jury is still out if it's broken, but it let me camp out on the couch for a good bit of the morning watching Fixer Upper.

That night we had my fam over for dinner ... Eli loves mexican so that's what I served up with a special request for Mimi's cheese dip.

I picked up a couple cream pies since baking was NOT happening with my thumb as it was. My sweet daddy loves to make anything a ceremony so he read the sweetest letter to Eli I've ever heard. Dad LOVES Eli and is constantly coming up to me to make sure I know that. "Rebekah, that Eli. He is just a GREAT guy ... I just like him SO much!"
Repeat.
Repeat.
Repeat.
But I agree so I don't get tired of hearing it. :)

I think he felt loved and celebrated today. Which he is every day- but especially today!

Muah!!  Love you!!

Remembering Our First Date ❤️

One year ago today Eli and I went on our first date(s). When you're newly married you celebrate every milestone and pretend like things such as this are a big deal. Because they like ... totally are.

Humor me as I bask in the bliss of my newlywed fairytale for at least five more minutes.

So, we have these super fun friends Jake and Timie Yancey. Eli has been friends with them for over 12 years and I met them through Plexus and have loved them for a couple years but with constant interaction and tons of travel together it feels like so much longer. They're seriously two of the most fun people ever.
I still remember sitting in the pedicure chair when Timie first told me they were wanting to set us up. I was doubtful (mainly because I wasn't sure that I was ready to go on a date yet) but finally agreed after saying  "I'll go out with anyone one time."
Eli actually knew me because ... wait for it ... He's on our Plexus team. HOLLA!!! I had come down from Pennsylvania a year or so before and he had been at the meeting. Because I was one of the main speakers he remembered seeing me more than I remembered him. But that was kind of our only "encounter."
He ended up Facebook messaging me a couple times over the next month ... which turned to a few text conversations ... eventually into several phone conversations ... and finally a plan for a lunch date.
We met at a fun restaurant and a couple hours flew by. I thought he had a gentle spirit, a fun disposition and it was just super easy to hang out with him.
A few days before our date we found out about a fun country music festival taking place the same night as we had planned to go to lunch and decided to go to the concert with the Yanceys.
If you know Timie and Jake (or me) then it will be no surprise to you that Eli and I took a picture whilst on our first date ... It still makes me giggle but I kinda love we have a picture from that night!!
Can you hear me girly giggling? Because I am.
Crazy to think I've only known him for a year! I love that we became such fast friends and that it turned into more- how sweet of God to give me the nicest, most responsible and protective guy to be by my side in one of the craziest years ever. . You can't help but love Eli when you're around him. He really is the sweetest, most helpful and fun guy. He totally won me over and I'm so glad he did! April 17 will always be one of my fav days. :)

The Beginning.

"Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start."
Fraulein Maria | The Sound of Music

Well, hey.
My name is Rebekah.
I've always been one who loves the written word. I enjoy reading, writing and everything that goes along in between. Added to these these two interests, Social Media has been such a fun interest of mine for many years and so blogging was a natural progression when coupled with the others. With every story, you need a beginning- an introduction to your main characters and a feel for the theme of the tale. So here we go ... not sure where our tale will take us ... but here are the main characters.

We'll start with me. It's only fair. I'll be narrating this thing when the Spirit moves me.
I love my Jesus, my sweet family, my fun business, yummy food and online shopping.
In a nutshell, I am hopelessly type B, an absolute fun seeker, totally high-mercy, and am a complete fixer-upper project by the Heavenly Father who graciously picks me and points me back to Him continually.
For many years I had a family blog at www.theboonefam.blogspot.com. I loved that I could keep up with the daily happenings of having three littles at home. I grew up in a big family and never ever tire of being with my people- writing about it lets me live it again later and I know I can share it with the kids later, too- the blog allows me a place to chart all of our adventures and gives me an outlet for my writing. After several life transitions I wanted to start fresh ... a new blog all together ... so here we are.

I'm a mama to three wee ones whom I love with my whole heart. Here's a visual:

Avery
My people-loving, always-going, grace-filled first born.

Dalton
My tender-hearted, always-ballin, book-loving middle child.

Sawyer
My quick-witted, super-silly, never-still-sitting baby boy.

Oh, and I recently married the sweetest man who loves these three hoodlums and me oh-so-well and I'm just so thankful for his handsome self. He's the one keeping this show on the road. True story.
While my complete opposite in way too many ways, he's in short ... the best. I prayed and prayed for the Lord to bring a man and I was really specific in my request: "Lord, could you bring a man who loves You, who will be a protector and a provider; bring someone who is respected at the city gates (Proverbs 31:23), and Lord, if he could just be 6'3" that would really be the icing on the cake!"
Well ... the Lord brought Eli and should have put a bow around him. Total package.

Eli and Rebekah

So, this is us.
Stay tuned...
